1. WHAT NORDIC MUGS IS

1.1 Nordic Mugs is a marketplace where collectors buy and sell Moomin mugs. The mugs are sold by the sellers, mostly private individuals, not by Nordic Mugs. The sale is an agreement between buyer and seller. We run the site, handle the payment and provide buyer protection.

1.2 Nordic Mugs is not affiliated with Moomin Characters, Arabia or Iittala. Names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to describe the mugs.

2. YOUR ACCOUNT

2.1 You can browse without an account. To list, buy, make offers or send messages you need one. You sign in with a link we send to your email address, so keep access to your email safe.

2.2 You must be at least 13 years old, and 18 to sell or buy (or have a parent's permission). Give correct information and use one account per person.

2.3 You can ask us to delete your account at any time, unless a sale is still in progress. How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy.

3. LISTING AND SELLING

3.1 You may only list mugs you own and can send. Describe them honestly: condition, damage, chips, cracks, labels, box and anything a buyer would want to know. Use your own photos of the mug you sell.

3.2 Prices are in euros. Listing is free. Buyers pay buyer protection on top of your price; you receive your price and the shipping in full.

3.3 To receive payments you must set up payouts with Stripe under Payments in your dashboard. Until then, buyers can see your listing, send you messages and make offers, but they cannot buy it, and you cannot accept an offer.

3.4 When a buyer pays, you accept or decline the purchase. Once accepted, send the mug within a few days, packed well, and mark it as sent (with tracking if you have it). Mark a mug as sold if you sell it elsewhere.

3.5 Not allowed: fakes or copies presented as originals, items that aren't Moomin related, misleading listings, listings meant to take the sale off the site, and anything illegal. We may translate listings into other languages, suggest improvements, and hide or remove listings that break these rules.

4. PRICE OFFERS

4.1 Buyers can offer a price on mugs that can be bought, at least 50% of the asking price. The seller can accept, decline or make a counter-offer. An offer that isn't answered within 3 days expires.

4.2 When an offer is accepted, the mug is reserved for the buyer, who has 48 hours to pay. An accepted offer is not a purchase until it is paid; after payment it is handled like any other purchase.

5. BUYING, BUYER PROTECTION AND PAYOUTS

5.1 When you buy a mug, you pay the price set by the seller (or the accepted offer), shipping, and buyer protection of 15% of the price. Shipping is a fixed €10 within one country and €20 between two European countries. Shipping is only offered within Europe. Payments are processed by Stripe.

5.2 Your payment is held by Nordic Mugs. It is not paid to the seller until you confirm that the mug arrived as described, or, if you do not answer, 7 days after the seller marked it as sent (14 days when it is sent to another country).

5.3 If the mug does not arrive, arrives broken, or is not as described, tell us before the payment is released, using the link in our email or by writing to info@nordicmugs.com. We hold the payment while we look into it and decide whether it is released to the seller or refunded to you, in full or in part. We may ask for photos, tracking details or the return of the mug.

5.4 If the seller declines your purchase, or does not answer within 7 days, you are refunded in full.

5.5 Sellers receive the price and the shipping in full, paid to their Stripe account once the payment is released. Nordic Mugs keeps the buyer protection and pays the card fees from it.

5.6 Buyer protection does not cover a change of mind, or a mug that is as described but turned out different from what you expected. See the Return Policy for details.

5.7 Always pay through Nordic Mugs. Buyer protection does not cover payments made outside the site.

5.8 These rules do not limit any rights you have under consumer law.

6. MESSAGES AND REVIEWS

6.1 Be polite and honest. No spam, harassment, or offensive or illegal content. Don't share other people's personal data.

6.2 To keep the marketplace safe, we may read messages when we handle a report, a dispute or suspected fraud.

7. YOUR CONTENT

7.1 You keep the rights to the photos and texts you upload. You allow us to show, translate, resize and share them on Nordic Mugs and to promote your listings (for example in newsletters, social media and Google Shopping), for as long as they are on the site.

7.2 Only upload content you have the right to use.

8. EMAILS

8.1 We send emails your account needs: sign-in links, messages, offers, sales, shipping and payouts. We also send a welcome email, newsletters about new mugs and alerts for mugs on your wishlist; you can turn these off in your settings or with the link in each email.

9. BLOCKING AND REMOVAL

9.1 If you break these terms, try to defraud others, or harm the marketplace, we may remove your content, hold payments while we look into it, and block or close your account.

10. LIABILITY

10.1 We work to keep the site running and correct, but cannot promise it is always available or error free.

10.2 As a marketplace we are not responsible for the mugs, the listings or what buyers and sellers do, beyond buyer protection as described in section 5. We are not liable for indirect loss, such as lost profit.

10.3 Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

11. CHANGES

11.1 We may update these terms. The date below shows the latest version. For important changes we will tell you by email or on the site. Purchases are covered by the terms that applied when you paid.

12. LAW AND DISPUTES

12.1 These terms are governed by Danish law. If we cannot agree, a dispute can be brought before the Danish courts. As a consumer you may also contact the Danish Consumer Complaints Board (Nævnenes Hus) or the courts of your own country.
